Understanding Lasers and Applications
Lasers today are essential to an incredibly large number of applications. These include:

There's hardly a field that is untouched by the laser.
The objective of this course is to provide the participants with a good understanding, in real time, of what lasers are, their unique properties, how such properties come about, types of lasers and their problems, and how laser light can be manipulated for various applications. The material presented can be understood without a strong technical background.
The course is suitable for engineers, scientists, managers, medical personnel, and others who either work with lasers and would like to improve their understanding of the field, or are curious about lasers and what lasers can do for them in their specialties.
Laboratory demonstrations will be used to enhance the understanding of the material being presented. The length of the course can vary from one day to three days, depending on the interests, needs and background of the participants.
