Basics of Effective Teaching
Effective teaching is not easy, yet it's so important in conveying understandable information in a classroom-type environment. Many college professors don't do such a great job in teaching because they are generally hired and promoted for their research abilities and not for their teaching skills. As a result, the students have to put up with poor teachers and much of the time spent in the classroom is of little benefit to the students.
The objective of the course is to help the participants become effective teachers by exposing them to a variety of techniques that Professor Ezekiel has acquired over the years to become a good teacher. The participants will also be shown how to handle a variety of issues that come up during a classroom setting. The course will be highly interactive and each participant will get an opportunity to teach and be critiqued.
The course is suitable for all those who are seriously interested in acquiring skills for effective teaching regardless of their field.
The length of the course can vary from one day to three days, or longer, depending on the number of participants and their needs.
